The prolactinoma is the most frecuent pituitary adenoma. This pathology usually has a benign evolution and is asociated with amenorrhea, galactorrhea and/or mass effect symptoms. It responds in a very effective way to bromocriptine, a dopaminergic agonist, reaching normal values of prolactin with improvement of galactorrhea and a restoration of gonadal function. It is also effective in shrinking tumor size. In the present article, we analize the case of a 22 year old patient that began control in the Hospital San Juan de Dios 5 years before, with a diagnosis of primary amenorrhea. She had to undergo surgery due to a prolactinoma resistent to bromocriptine and she is actually pregnant.
