Malignant Arterial Hypertension and Hyperreninemic Hyperaldosteronism: a Case Report The case of a 28-year old female hospitalized because of severe arterial hypertension, pulmonary edema and hypokalemia is presented. Hyperreninemia, hyperaldosteronism and the presence of a nodular lesion in the left adrenal gland were detected. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy was performed and histology showed macronodular cortical hyperplasia. In the postoperative period, there was a progressive recurrence of hypertension and hypokalemia.
