Open-access Educación sexual en la adolescencia: la vivencia de un trabajo comunal universitario

The article approaches the experience of the sexual education workshop “knowing me, knowing my body, knowing my sexuality “, which emerges from the university community service “Prevention of sexual violence and STD/VIH/ AIDS vulnerability in underage population” of University of Costa Rica. The project was developed between the months of July and October 2010 in the shelter Moravia 1 of the Patronato Nacional de la Infancia (PANI), with 12 to17 year-old-adolescent-boys. The experience is developed from the systematization of the workshop sessions and the analysis of the instrument applied by the authors, using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 17). At the end of the workshop there is a great population loss, and the people show major interest in the STD, in the consequences of the pregnancy one sees the man has more opportunities of leak than the woman; in the part of the instrument one sees changes in the autoperception of knowledge with regard to the sexuality and the formation of new criteria with scientific base in the sexuality
