The Latina University give honor to Dr. Eduardo Vargas Alvarado, Dean of the Medicine Faculty of this University. Dr. Vargas developed the Judicial Morgue, from its very beginning, January 1, of 1965; and from 1975 until his jubilation from the Judicial Power in 1992 was the Boss of the Legal Medicine Department. Dr. Leslie Solano Calderon, the actual Boss of this Department, and Dr. Abarca were disciples of Mr. Vargas. Dr. Vargas has written many books of Legal Medicine and has received many acknowledgements because of his legal medicine work in Latin America and is the Honorary President of the Costa Rican Forensic Medicine Association. The Legal Medicine Department and the Costa Rican Forensic Medicine Association are added to this just and opportune acknowledge.
