The following article´s main objective is to share an observation instrument used by the author while observing practicum students of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, at the University of Costa Rica, Sede de Occidente, in order to evaluate their performance during the practicum. This proposal has been implemented by the author over a period of ten years of working together along with practicum students and it has achieved the professional growth of both counterparts as a result of a reflection process. This document takes as reference framework different positions expressed by some authors and the personal experience of the author in this field of study.
