<span name="style_bold">Approaches to a forgotten history. </span><span name="style_bold">State of the question of the History of international relations of Costa Rica</span>The article is aimed to enhance a review and assessment of the historiographical studies about international relations developed in Costa Rica. The work aims to deepen the principal trends and gaps that have occurred in this field. Also, based on these elements, poses a general research agenda on this subject.
