Open-access Relations between ritual and creation. An analysis from the pedagogical anthropology

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to make a contribution from pedagogical anthropology to education. It is assumed that instrumentalized education in its transmitional, directive, unidirectional and rationalizing forms, suffocates the abilities that the subjects have to build symbolic universes, it alienates them from developing a correlational vision with their social environment; it paralyzes them in their roles of political subjects when they have to make a decision or to take action into something. Bearing this issue in mind, this proposal shows the impact that arts, mimesis, rituality, transgression and liminality -and the interrelation among them- could have in the educational contexts. This relation allows the maximization of a dialogue subjectivity with the other human beings, always opened to the discovery of themselves and their environment, self-conscious about their corporeity and natural correlate; supported by the poetics of the action, in a frequent creative attitude, this is, practicing an active citizenship.

Key words:  Pedagogical Anthropology; Mimesis; Ritual; Transgression; Liminality; Creation
