This essay presents a reflection related to the contribution of Intercultural Education theory and practice in the Counseling professional. First, it is approached the principles of scholarly guidance and its relationship with intercultural base theory. After that, it is pointed out from an intercultural perspective the contributions to the Counseling professionals, taking into account multiple socio¬political, educational, economic, religious and cultural transformations that impact the educational system in our multicultural societies. This approaches framed counseling field within new challenges of the professional development in this way it allows a contemporary debate about about diversity, culture, education and interculturality.
